COVID-19 Update & Survey

To the BLL Community:

As you may have heard, this past week Little League International announced that the Little League World Series and all regional postseason tournaments would be canceled for 2020 due to public-health restrictions relating to large public events and travel.

We want to emphasize that BLL is strictly adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local directives and guidance on COVID-19, and therefore any possible resumption of Little League baseball and softball activities in Bordentown is dependent upon criteria over which we have no control.

We are unable to provide a target resumption date. We are relying on a statement from the State of New Jersey that would lift the current stay-at-home order, at which point it would be expected that organized youth activities can resume.

Our goal is quite simply to give the children of our community a chance to play a sport we all love, to be around old friends and new ones in a safe outdoor setting, and to have a bit of normalcy after a long stretch of abnormal living.  Such a season would, of course, be unusual -- and likely will have a number of other operational adjustments to promote safety. We recognize that, for a variety of reasons, this may present challenges to the participation of both children and adult volunteers. We certainly understand that and are planning accordingly.

In an effort to help us plan to move forward, we ask that you complete the BLL Covid-19 Survey.
